2 street sammies
2 street sammies found it's purpose with the combined efforts of Nathan and Stefanie of South Philadelphia. Nathan has been a Philadelphian since 2004. Stefanie, after living in New York for 13 years, returned to her roots in 2011.  Our shared desire is to help raise awareness of the all too many people still struggling with hunger in and around the Delaware Valley everyday. That is why 2 street sammies promises to donate to Philabundance and local Food Banks everytime it fires up the cart.
 The Cook Nathan Baynes
Nathan himself does not claim to be a chef in the true sense of the term. He has only ever cooked professionally during his time with Paesano's Philly Style LLC. As temparary business partner with Chef/Owner Peter McAndrews (Modo Mio, Monsu, La Porta) Nathan had a concentrated learning curve. "Basically I begged Peter to open something we could do together...then one day he was like okay let's do sandwiches."
Luckily, their fair quickly grew and won several "Best of Philly" awards.  While also being featured in national Food Network shows: "The Throwdown," with Bobby Flay, "The Layover," with Anthony Bourdain,  "Bizzare Foods," with Andrew Zimmern. "But to be considered a chef," states Nathan, would mean I knew much more than sandwiches."  Luckily, 2 street sammies is all about sandwiches.
